Rodger Smith recruited telecommunications, theatre,
English, and architecture majors for this team, which quickly named itself
iDream (meaning interactive, digitally rendered entertainment
and multimedia). Organized into business, film, and web design groups,
they set about creating and launching a web site for original dramatic
works whose interactivity exceeded the linear, sit-and-watch
films on the web at the time. The project entailed writing and shooting
a number of short films and authoring a complex website to present them,
located at someoneiswatching.com. iDream continues as a Ball State student
organization and online entertainment hub.
