Joel Kirk served as assistant director for 42nd Street, The Woods and Collected Stories at Ball State University. Last fall, he assistant directed Always…Patsy Cline for the Actors Theatre of Indiana. In the summer, Joel directed and set designed Dial M For Murder for the Carmel Playhouse. He has also directed Wanda’s Visit, Hairspray, Easily Exceptional, and Space Probe. In 2012, Joel won “Best Picture” in the Heartland High School Film Competition for the short film Rotating Clock. He received the 2012 Indiana Thespian State Award for Best Film for the short film Mark Made. Joel is a theatrical directing major and a film directing major with a minor in scenic design and lighting at Ball State University.
